What's 53MILES?

53MILES is a tumblelog focused around everything I discover online in fields like technology, design, gaming, entrepreneurialism or startups. It's also the title I use for my own personal holding company.

The name comes from the rough distance between my birth village Sliedrecht and my current hang-out Amsterdam. A storm as fast as 53mph is also classified as a “gale“, kinda like my lastname Gaal.
